Randallstown High School, S.L. Friedman, Library Volunteer

  • As a volunteer in the library this year, I have seen first hand the dedication and effort both Peg Morton and Betty Vedeloff have put into making our library a showcase for Randallstown High School. Preparing, selecting, organizing, and shelving $312,000 worth of books is a huge undertaking, and I applaud their accomplishments. I had no idea the process and effort it takes to put just one book on the shelf, much less thousands of new materials. What is most exciting is their enthusiasm about all the books that are coming in, and their eagerness to get them on the shelves promptly so students and faculty can start to use and enjoy them. Their excitement is spreading and everyone is beginning to realize how improved our library has become, and what a great instructional center it is. It is my hope that we have some type of kick-off or rally highlighting the revival of our library, so everyone in the Randallstown community and media hears about the great things that are happening here.
