This is a view of the B&M supercharged and fuel injected engine I built for my '72 Pantera. I designed and fabricated the belt drive so I could run the 174 cu. in. supercharger from the front of the engine without making any modifications to the car. By using a crank triggered ignition, I eliminated the distributor and located a casting for a counter shaft in its place. The Gates Rubber Co. provided valuable data on the serpentine belt geometry by analyzing the layout with their computer program. I had to fabricate a new bracket to locate the A/C compressor to the rear. I wrote a detailed article describing the engine and it was published in the Spring 1994 issue of V8 POWER magazine.
