Eudora 6 Setup

These are the instructions for setting up Eudora 6 with BCPL. If you need the instructions for Eudora 5 click here . If you need the instructions for Eudora 3 click here .

In Eudora, e-mail accounts are referred to as personalities. If the Personalities pane is not open, you can click its tab, or click Tools, then Personalities to open the Personalities pane.

Then right-click in the personalities pane and select New from the menu.

The New Account Wizard appears.

Select Skip directly to advanced account setup.

Click Finish.

The Create New Account window opens.

Personality Name: This is the name of the personalitly. Type BCPL in this box.

Real Name: enter your full name.
Return Address: enter your BCPL e-mail address.
Login Name: enter your BCPL username (e.g. jdoe)

SMTP Server: Type mail.bcpl.net in this box.

Click the Incoming Mail tab.

Server: Type mail.bcpl.net in this box.

Configuration: Leave this set to POP.

Make sure Leave mail on server in unchecked.

Authentication style: this should be set to Passwords.

Click OK.
