Netscape Communicator E-mail Setup

Open Netscape Communicator and click on the Edit pull-down menu. Select preferences.

A window will appear which will have a Category: box on the left.

In the Category: box, look for Mail & Groups. If there is a + next to Mail & Groups, click on it to change it to a - which will expand the field.

Click on the Identity field in the Category box. The right side of the window will display the Identity settings.

For Your Name, type in your name as you would want it to appear on your outgoing e-mails. This is the name that people will see when they receive your e-mails.

For E-mail Address type in your BCPL e-mail address (ex. username@bcpl.net).

Click on the Mail Server field in the Category box to display the mail server information on the right side of the window.

If your screen looks different from the image on the left, you have a slightly different version of Netscape. Click here to continue setup for that version Netscape.

Make sure that your username appears in the Mail Server User Name box.

For the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server, type in mail.bcpl.net.

For the Incoming Mail (SMTP) Server, type in mail.bcpl.net.

Click on OK to complete your e-mail setup.
