Solving Outlook 97 Disconnect Problems

If you are getting disconnected while in Outlook 97, you may have it set to disconnect after sending and receiving emails.
The following steps are meant to guide you through changing this setting.

Click on the Tools menu.

Click on Services within the Tools menu.


Click on Internet Email - ...

The name to the right of Internet Email - most likely will not be the same as the one in the picture.

Click the Properties button.

Uncheck the Disconnect when finished sending and receiving box.

Also, be sure that the I use a modem to access my e-mail selection is bulleted and your BCPL connection is selected under Use the following Dial-up Networking connection: .

Click OK to exit out of the Properties window.

Click OK to exit out of the Services window.
