Imac Setup
Click the Apple in the upper left corner of your screen.
Select Internet Access.
Select Internet Setup Assistant.
If you don't see Internet Access or Internet Setup Assistant, do the following:
Press Apple-F on the keyboard, this will open Sherlock. Type
Internet Setup Assistant and press Enter. A list will appear.
Select from this list the application program labeled Internet Setup Assistant, and then open it.
This will open up the Internet Setup Assistant with the following window:
Click Yes to continue. |

| Next it will ask if you already have an account, click Yes. |

Next you will get an introduction box that will tell you what you will
need to access the Internet.
Click the right arrow to continue. |

Next it will ask you what you would like to name this configuration;
type in BCPL. In the lower part of the window, make sure there
is a black dot next to Modem. Then click the right arrow
to continue. |

Next it will ask for your modem type; most likely, the correct modem
and port will already be in there. If not, select the proper modem.
There should be a black dot next to Tone. Click the right
arrow to continue. |

| Next type in the phone number: 4102965500. Spaces, parentheses
and hyphens are unnecessary.
Type in your username, the one you received in our packet, not jdoe.
Then type in your password.
You wont be able to see it as you type, so be careful not to make any mistakes.
Click the right arrow to continue. |

The next box will ask if your Internet Provider requires a connect
script, click No.
Click the right arrow to continue. |

| Next it will ask if there is an IP address for this configuration.
Select No; then click the right arrow to continue. |

| Next it will ask for the DNS addresses.
These are not required for your BCPL connection.
Click the right arrow to continue. |

| Next it will ask for your email address. This will be your username,
followed by the at symbol ( @ ), followed by bcpl.net
An example : jdoe@bcpl.net Next it will ask for your password.
You dont have to enter it now, but if you dont, you will have to do it
every time you access your mail. Click the right arrow to
continue. |

| Next it will ask for your POP account. This will be your username,
followed by @mail.bcpl.net Example : jdoe@mail.bcpl.net
For the SMTP host type mail.bcpl.net Click the right arrow
to continue. |

| Next it will ask about newsgroups. You can leave this blank for
now. Click the right arrow to continue. |

Select No for proxy servers. Click the right arrow to
continue. |

| This is the last window in the Internet Setup assistant.
Make sure Connect when finished is unchecked and then click
Go Ahead. |

| Make sure the Redialing tab is on top.
Change Redial to Redial main number only.
Input the number of times you would like it to redial; we suggest 10.
Then click the Connection tab. |

| Make sure Disconnect if idle for 10 minutes is unchecked.
Click the Protocol tab. |

The first three items should be checked.
Connect to a command-line host should be unchecked.
Click OK. |

At this point, the BCPL connection should now be correctly configured. To connect,
click the Apple in the upper left-hand corner, click Control Panels,
click Remote Access, and then click Connect.
