You are using an older browser, which may not load bcpl.net properly. We recommend
that you upgrade to the latest version of your browser. The latest version of Internet Explorer can be
found at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx. The latest version of
Netscape can be found at: http://www.netscape.com.
Click on the Apple Menu in the upper left corner of the screen.
Click Control Panels.
Double click MacTCP.
At the top of the MacTCP window, there will be at least two
icons. One is named Apple Talk, and the other one is called PPP.
Click on the PPP icon to highlight it.
If the PPP icon is not at the top of the window then go to the
troubleshooting page
to correct the problem.
Click on the More button at the bottom of the screen.
On the next window that opens there will be a list of options on the
upper left side of the screen. Click on the Manually option to select
it.
Click in the Gateway box. Then type in 204.255.212.1.
Now back in the upper left side of the screen click on the Server
option to select it.
On the upper right side of this screen change the Class Type
to C. To do this click on the down arrow to the right of the box.
Then click on C to select it.
Next look in the lower right side of the window. In this area there
will be a table with three columns: Domain Name, IP Address, and Default.
Click in the first box underneath the Domain
Name column. Then type in bcpl.net. Make sure there is a . after net.
Now hit the tab key on the keyboard.
This will take you to the first box under the IP
Address column.
In here type 204.255.212.245.
Click on the default column to put a check in the first row.
Click in the second row down under Domain Name and type
. (a period). Then hit the tab key.
In the second IP Address line type 206.66.216.8.
Click in the third row down under Domain Name and type . (a period).
Then hit the tab key. In the third IP Address box type 204.255.212.14.
Leave the fourth row blank.
Now click the OK button at the bottom of the screen.
Close the MacTCP window by clicking on the box in the upper left
corner of the screen.
The last step is to restart you computer. To do this click on
the Special menu at the top of the screen.
Then click Restart.
Once the computer restarts then all you have to do is double
click on your web browser (Netscape or Internet Explorer) to get connected.
