BCPL.NET E-Mail Mailing Lists

BCPL.NET customers have access to several mailing lists (e-mail discussion groups, sometimes called "listservs") that are good sources of technical help and advice. We use automated list management software called Majordomo to handle subscription requests, unsubscribe requests, and distribution of postings to the lists.

Currently the following mailing lists are available to BCPL.NET customers:

BCPL-PPP:

Support group for issues related to dialup PPP access to BCPL.NET.

WEBWRITERS:

For BCPL.NET customers interested in authoring and publishing their own Web pages.

PCUSERS:

For BCPL.NET customers who use PC and PC-Compatible computers.

MACUSERS:

For BCPL.NET customers who use Macintosh and Mac-compatible computers.

UNIXUSERS:

For BCPL.NET customers who use UNIX shell access to their accounts, and/or who use UNIX computers at home or work.

Here's how to join our mailing lists:

• Address an e-mail message to:
• Majordomo ignores the Subject line, so you may leave it blank.
• In the body of the message write only subscribe followed by the name of the list you want to join. For example, the following will subscribe you to the MACUSERS mailing list:

• If your mail program automatically appends a "signature" to the ends of your messages, write end on the line below the subscribe command, like this:

• You may subscribe to more than one list with a single message. For example, the following will subscribe you to the WEBWRITERS, PCUSERS, and UNIXUSERS lists:

Immediately after your subscription request is received Majordomo will send an automated confirmation message containing important information about the list you have joined, including instructions on unsubscribing should you change your mind. Please save it for future reference!

To unsubscribe from a BCPL.NET mailing list, do exactly as above but substitute unsubscribe for subscribe.
