NEW E-MAIL ADDRESS FOR BCPL HELP DESK

In response to many comments from account holders to the effect that the
association between "oz" and the Help Desk isn't very intuitive, we have
changed the Help Desk's e-mail address from "oz@mail.bcpl.lib.md.us" to
"help@mail.bcpl.lib.md.us". That should be easier for everyone to
remember. 

We have created a mail alias pointing from "oz" to "help", so mail
addressed to "oz" will still reach the Help Desk.  This will keep
the Help Desk mail flowing while we update the address on our Web
pages and printed material.  However, all account holders should begin
using the new address immediately.

Remember, the Help Desk's e-mail address is now:
 
    help@mail.bcpl.lib.md.us

On a related topic, please do not direct questions about your BCPL
Internet Account to "webmaster@mail.bcpl.lib.md.us".  The "webmaster"
address puts you in touch with the people who maintain Baltimore County
Public Library's Web pages.  They are not involved in the running of
BCPL's Internet Account service, so are not able to answer most questions
about your account.  "Help" messages addressed to "webmaster" will
eventually find their way to the Help Desk, but you will get a much faster
response if you address your questions to the Help Desk in the first
place.
