NO USENET NEWS ACCESS THURSDAY NIGHT, AUGUST 7

We have received word from ABSnet that they will be taking their news
server (news.abs.net) offline tonight for maintenance.  While it is down
it will not be possible to access Usenet News via ABSnet.  The work is
expected to take about six to twelve hours, so Usenet News access should
be restored by Friday morning unless something unexpected happens.
