---------------------------- MODEM POOL BACK TO FULL SIZE ---------------------------- On September 12 I announced in System News that one of our seven access servers had failed, reducing our modem pool to 276 lines. To minimize the threat of busy signals I reduced the per-session time limit from four hours to three hours The replacement access server finally arrived today (September 19) after several shipping delays. I assembled, configured, and installed it this afternoon, brought it on line at about 3:30 PM, and raised the per-session time limit back to four hours. During the configuration and installation process there were several service interruptions. My apologies to those of you who got cut off or heard busy signals or experienced login failures during that period, but it was unavoidable.
