POWER FAILURE THURSDAY OCTOBER 23

At about 1:25 PM today (Thursday October 23) much of the Towson area was
blacked out by a power failure.  The failure lasted long enough to drain
some of our smaller uninterruptible power supplies, forcing us to shut
down some of our equipment.  This may have caused connection difficulties
and other service interruptions for some of our users. 

Power was restored by about 1:45 PM, and we were able to bring all
equipment back up at that time.
