-------------------- ATTENTION PINE USERS -------------------- The following two changes affect Pine users only: The latest version of Pine (4.02) has been installed. It offers several new features, most notably the ability to display most HTML-formatted messages correctly. There are also several minor changes in the keystrokes used to issue commands. For details, press "R" (release notes) at Pine's main menu. If you prefer to continue using the previous version of Pine (3.96), enter "pine396" (instead of just "pine") to start pine. At 12:01 AM Monday August 31, the systemwide default configuration for Pine will be changed to automatically use the "bcpl.net" version of your address on all outgoing mail. This is in keeping with our domain name change from "bcpl.lib.md.us" to "bcpl.net", and reflects the fact that the majority of our customers now use the shorter address format. See http://www.bcpl.net/help/newdom.html for details on the domain name change. If for any reason you prefer to continue using the "mail.bcpl.lib.md.us" form of your e-mail address, you will need to do the following: o Start Pine o At the Main Menu press "S" (setup) then "C" (configuration). o Use your arrow keys to move the highlighting down to the "user-domain" line (second line). o Press "C" (change value), then enter "mail.bcpl.lib.md.us" and press Return or Enter. The line should now look like this: user-domain = mail.bcpl.lib.md.us o Press "E" (exit settings), then "Y" (yes) to accept the changes. -------------------------------------------------------------------- PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE!
