SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE

At about 8:00 AM on Friday, July 30, we will upgrade the operating system
on the router that connects our network to the ABSnet network.  This will
break our connection to ABSnet.  While the ABSnet connection is down there
will be no access to the Usenet News server at news.abs.net.

Total down time should be no more than ten minutes.

Only access to Usenet News will be affected.  All other services will
remain available.
