------------------------------- POWER FAILURE TAKES SYSTEM DOWN ------------------------------- On Friday, December 6, 1996, at about 10:30 AM, the local Baltimore Gas & Electric Company substation failed, blacking out our section of Towson and taking down our network and dialup access. Power was restored at about 12:20 PM, and most of our network (including dialup service) was back in operation by about 12:30 PM.
