TACACS USER AUTHENTICATION FAILURE

On Monday, July 8, at about 11:15 PM, our TACACS server (xtacacsd) failed
for unknown reasons.  The problem was discovered and corrected about 45
minutes later. 
 
TACACS is the user authentication mechanism that verifies your username
and password when you connect to one of our terminal servers. While it was
down no user authentication could take place, so connections via 296-5500
could not be completed during that 45 minute period. 

We regret any inconvenience this may have caused.
