------------------------- WEB SERVER LOGS TRUNCATED ------------------------- The following will be of interest to those of you who use statistical packages to keep track of hits on your personal World Wide Web pages. It has no effect on anyone else. At approximately 8:30 AM on Sunday, February 11, the following log files written by httpd (our Web server) were truncated. This was necessary because the file system on which those log files reside was full. /carl/httpd/logs/access_log /carl/httpd/logs/referer_log /carl/httpd/logs/agent_log The original copies of those log files have been compressed (using zip) under the following names. They will be left in place until space constraints make it necessary to delete them. /carl/httpd/logs/access_log0.zip /carl/httpd/logs/referer_log0.zip /carl/httpd/logs/agent_log0.zip You may download them and unzip them (using PKUNZIP 2.0.4g or newer) if you desperately need them for statistical purposes, but be warned that they are HUGE files! DO NOT attempt to unzip them on the UNIX host!
