This one, however, is not. We are bringing it to your attention because it poses a threat to your personal PC. The following information is compiled from a number of reputable sources and is believed to be accurate. ILOVEYOU arrives as an e-mail attachment in a message automatically sent apparently by a colleague. The name of the attachment is "LOVE-LETTER-FOR-YOU.TXT.vbs." If a victim is tricked into opening the attached program, which is written in Microsoft's Visual Basic script, the virus deletes every jpg image file and mp3 music file it can find. After deleting image and music files, the virus e-mails itself to every person or destination in the victim's various address books, including any corporate distribution lists. That's why it spreads so fast. If you receive an email with the subject "ILOVEYOU" DO NOT open the message. DO NOT open the attachment. Delete both the message and the attachment IMMEDIATELY.
