The work should take about 30 minutes, barring a visit from Murphy and his pesky law. I apologize for the extremely short notice, but this switchover has to be coordinated with our upstream provider and 3:00 PM today is the best time for them. This will not affect your ability to send and receive e-mail, but your outgoing mail will not be delivered until the connection comes back up. This will not affect your ability to access the BCPL.NET Web site (www.bcpl.net), the Baltimore County Public Library Web site (www.bcplonline.org), or any BCPL.NET customer Web sites on our Web server. However you will not be able to access Web sites out on the rest of the Internet so many links on our Web sites may not work. This will not affect the connection between BCPL.NET and ABSnet, so you will still be able to access the Usenet News server (news.abs.net).
