Date: Tue, 31 Jan 2006 10:37:22 -0500 (EST) From: BCPLNET SysAdmin To: BCPL.NET News Subject: [BCPL.NET NEWS] WebMail Enhancement ------------------- WEBMAIL ENHANCEMENT ------------------- Attention BCPL.NET WebMail Users: Within the next day or so you will notice a change in the Message Index page after you log into WebMail. You will see a new column of checkboxes on the left side of the page, replacing the checkboxes that used to be included in the Subject column. In the new version there will also be a checkbox at the top of the left-hand column. Clicking that top checkbox will automatically put a checkmark in all the checkboxes below it. This "Select All" feature is something a lot of customers have asked for, so we hope you'll like it. The "Select All" works only with WebMail's DEFAULT template, which most of you are using unless you have intentionally selected a different template. To switch back to the DEFAULT template, click the Options button or link at the top of the WebMail index page. In the Options window under Templates select the one labeled "DEFAULT - Default Large WebMail Version 3 Template". The "Select All" feature requires that you have JavaScript enabled in your Web Browser. If you don't, the individual checkboxes for each message will still work, but the "Select All" checkbox will not appear at all. As far as we can tell the "Select All" feature works with all Web browsers except Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.2 for Macintosh. In IE 5.2 for Mac you can still click individual checkboxes one at a time, but the Select All checkbox does not work. We are working on a fix, but IE 5.2 for Mac seems to do strange things with JavaScript so we can't guarantee success.
