Jim's Arizona Pictures 2

If you haven't seen them already, feel free to check last year's pictures, too.

These are pictures that I took when I went out to freeload again on my friend Tracy in Tucson.

The Igloo I built this winter. We almost never get snow good enough to do something like this.
Me with the igloo.
Me again.
The igloo by itself.  I'm inside but you can't see it in this picutre.
OK, out to Arizona.  This is a sunset from Gates Pass.  It was very beautiful but not as nice as last years' sunset
The sunset again.
A jazzy panoramic picture.
A little darker now.
A rock in Chiricahua National Monument.  I thought this one looked like a lion's head.  Everything there seems to remind you of something.
Chiricahua National Monument again.  They must never have earthquakes there.
The famous "Duck on a Rock" formation.
Balancing Rock.
A view from Inspiration Point. It really was impressive there.
Another view from Inspiration Point.
More from Inspiration Point.
On the trail back.  I was going to take a longer hike but the ranger said, "After 10 miles you will have seen enough rocks."  It was all very beautiful but she was right.
The store in the reviving ghost town of Pearce, AZ. You can see the adobe walls in this picture.
More of the store.
A view from Mt. Lemmon just north of Tucson.
Rocks on Mt. Lemmon.
The same rocks, different view.  Notice the ones toward the bottom on the left.
Those rocks.  Can you see the man climbing down them?  Also, notice the one rock that looks like a bear with a hat facing a smaller bear with a hat. Cute, huh?
Starting a hike up Wasson Peak.
Pretty view of Saguaro cacti.  They get to be 80 years old before they put out their first arm.  Some of these were very old.
Another view on the way down from the peak.
More on Wasson Peak.
The Saguaro forest.
Alto Camp.  This is a post office and all that remains of a mining town with a population of about 200.  It was very quiet and serene there.
On the way up to Seven Falls near Tucson.
A view of the falls.  It's hard to see the water in this picture but it's there.
Another view of the falls.
And a final look at the falls.
A picture of Buddy the cat that I took to finish off the roll of film.
