These pictures are from a cruise to Bermuda in May, 2000. They're
in chronological order. I put them here so I could inflict them on
my friends and family. Don't forget you
can click on each picture to see a larger version. If
you're really bored, you can check my home
page and see pictures from some of my other trips.

In St. George's, Bermuda in front of or ship the Horizon. |
The unfinished cathedral in St. George's. It was almost completed
when they decided to continue to use the existing cathedral instead. |
John Smith's Bay just south of Devil's Hole. I was waiting for
the bus. |
Another picture of our ship, the Horizon. |
A carved melon from Caribbean Night on the ship. |
Another melon. |
Melon #3. |
Church Bay on the south shore. |
From the hill overlooking Church Bay. |
A view of the ships as we headed out to go snorkeling. The Horizon
is
in the back. Her sister ship, the Zenith, is in front. |
The spot where we practiced snorkeling before going out to deeper water.
Beautiful colors. |
A sunken ship. This ship was sunk on purpose to block the channel
during World War II. |
This is where we went snorkeling. The water was about 30 feet
deep and there were lots of coral formations and beautiful fish. |
This is billed as the smallest drawbridge in the world. It's
designed with a 17 inch opening just to let the masts of boats through. |
Warwick Long Bay on the south shore. |
Another picture of the south shore beaches from on top of the limestone
(coral) outcrop.. |
Looking in the other direction. |
This is the rock I was standing on when I took the previous two pictures.
I climbed up to read the faded sign on the rocks. It said, "Caution,
dangerous rocks." and warned against diving. |
The hole in the rock is a nest for Longtails. You can just make out
the long tail feather sticking out of the nest. |
A view between the rocks to the water. |
A view from the rocks just on the edge of Warwick Long Bay. |
Two longtails flying over the water. |
A better picture. Not National Geographic quality but the best
I could get without falling off the rock. |
Here's my friend Jim standing in the little cave we used for shade
in Stonehole Bay. |
The window behind the altar in the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity
in Hamilton. |
Snappy carved fruits and vegetables at one of the midnight buffets
on the ship. |
