The Sheep Before and After

My brother John surprised me one Sunday evening in the Spring of 2002 by asking me to help him shear a sheep. It was a first for both of us. Lucky for us the poor sheep didn't see it coming. I made with the clippers while John kept the sheep still. It was a riot. It wasn't a professional job but I think we did OK.

This is one of the sheep before shearing. I don't have before pictures of the one we actually trimmed but they both pretty much looked the same.	This is the picture of Maggie the sheep after shearing. We didn't do that hot a job but I'm sure she's more comfortable than she was before. Besides as they always say - "It'll grow back"

Here's the one we did in April 2003. These poor sheep! The people in New Zealand who actually know how to do this are probably laughing at us from halfway across the globe! This year's subject is on the left. Maggie from last year is on the right. She seems to have recovered OK from last year.

Here are the three of us (John, Jim, Tom) holding the fleece. I'm sure the sheep will be more comfortable now.	Here we are doing our ZZ Top impression.
