Susan Ward was the daughter of William (11) and Anne (Veazey) Ward.

Susan Ward was born February 19, 1796.

Susan Ward married in 1821 to Andrew Fisher Henderson of "Whitehall" near Elkton, Cecil County, Maryland. Andrew Fisher Henderson was the grandson of Thomas Frisby Henderson and Hannah Nelson; great grandson of Thomas and Mary Henderson of Cecil County.

They moved to Baltimore where Mr. Henderson had various business interests. Andrew was killed by the explosion of a boiler on the steamboat "Medora" on her maiden voyage on the waters of the Chesapeake.

Susan Ward Henderson died September 26, 1858 in Baltimore, MD. When she died she was living on Cathedral Street in Baltimore, a few doors south of Madison Street.

The children were as follows:

  • Amelia Henderson, married James Barroll and had children:

    • William Vincent Barroll

    • C. Mary Barroll

  • Lavinia Henderson, married James Henry Ferguson and had children:

    • Ella Ferguson, who married Henry Veazey Ward (83)

    • James Henry Ferguson

    • Caroline Ferguson, married Dr. Joseph Roach

  • William Ward Henderson of "Whitehall" who married Flora Hollingsworth and died 18__, no children.

  • Julia Ward Henderson, died unmarried 1902.

  • Thomas Frisby Henderson, lawyer. Married Charlotte Kelsey of Long Island. Died leaving no children.

  • Susan Henderson, married Wilson C. N. Carr. she died leaving two children who died in infancy.

  • Ellen Ward Henderson who married John A. Whitridge of Baltimore and died leaving children:

    • Ellen Whitridge, who married Saul M. Shoemaker

    • Morris Whitridge - (c) Thomas 

    • Andrew Whitridge -  (E) William

    • Julia Whitridge. Married W. S. Blackford

    • John Whitridge
