Joshua Ward (52)

Index for Ward and Associated Families of Sassafras Neck, Cecil County, Maryland

He died April 15, 1815 (see tombstone at St. Stephens ). After his death, his widow removed to Baltimore with her children and died there in 1832. 

The children  are as follows:

• John Ward (53)

• Joshua Ward(63) sailed as supercargo in 1825 and vessel was never heard of again.

• Elizabeth Ward (64) who married Dr. Joseph Wallace, Surgeon U.S. Navy and had children:

  • Dr. Joseph Veazey Wallace of Chesapeake City, Cecil County who married ___ Price and had a daughter

    • Mary Wallace, who married Rev. ____ Williams

• Edward Veazey Ward (65) who married Harriet Ferguson. He was a well-known merchant in Baltimore. Died leaving no children.

• Caroline Ward (66) died unmarried.

• Dr. James Robert Ward (67)

• Henry Veazey Ward (72)

• George Washington Ward (79)
