Henry Pennington Sr, was transported by 1650/51. He claimed land for service in 1670; in August of 1671 he purchased 400 acres of land, a tract called, "Happy Harbor" on the Sassafras River. In Cecil County, he received a patent on 1 October 1680 for 100 acres - "Sylvan's Folly" at the head of Gaeke Creek on the Sassafras River; 71 acres - "Pennyworth" on 14 October 1680; 100 acres - "Sylvane's Folly" on 14 May 1695.
