Getting Started

This site is designed for us common folks who want a nice vacation package but don’t have a lot of money to spend.

Sure you can arrange your travel plans through a travel agency. There are no special programs that travel agents use to get you the flights you want or the vacation package of your dreams that you don't have access to online. They will look up the information for you on their computers, print out your itinerary and fax, mail, or e-mail it to you and then charge you a fee for their services. You can do the same yourself in the comfort of your own home or office and possibly save yourself a good deal of money. You can create and confirm your own travel plans as easy as one-two-three.

The Internet has made planning our family trips a fun and easy event. Sitting down at the computer to plan your vacation can be easy and quite fun for you too. First choose a destination, decide on the date, including time of travel and duration of your stay, the desired mode of travel, and where you would like to stay. Is this a family trip? Or a romantic get-away for two? Or do you just need some “me” time?

In choosing a place to stay there are multiple choices, i.e. resort, hotel, motel, inn, bed and breakfast or you may prefer the great outdoors of a camp site or cabin.

Of course, your budget is another major factor in planning your vacation. You will need to decide what will make your vacation most memorable. That will determine how you plan your spending. For instance:

You want to stay at a five-star hotel

You want your family fun at a villa in Orlando
You or your traveling partner want to shop til you drop (oh yes, we’re talking outlets too!)

You want to see all the tourist sites

You want to dine at all the great restaurants

You want to experience the night life

You want to get there quick (flying is the way to go) or

You wish to take the scenic route by driving
