I have attempted to hail these 2 new contacts; as yet, no reply. I don't want everyone to leap to conclusions; our initial data is very fragmentary, and we do not know for certain that their acceleration is as high as it appeared...

...however, the fact that they just *appeared* there with no evidence of a jump point certainly seems to indicate alien origin. (Even the damned Vorlons can't drop out of hyperspace without opening a jump point!)

Until we receive evidence of their origins and intent, I must agree with Captain Karl. Regardless of our political differences, we're all still humans. My orders to the DIONYSUS' targetting crews will be to hold fire unless fired upon. I implore you all to do the same until we can determine whether these new ships are a threat to Earth.
