SET DIGEST/INDEX/NODIGEST -- Set your method of message delivery Normally mail is delivered to each subscriber in DIGEST mode. In this mode, all messages sent during any one day are held until the end of the day and then delivered as one large message shortly after midnight Eastern time. You may elect instead to receive your messages in INDEX mode, in which the one daily message will show only basic information (topic, sender and message size) for each message. With that information, you may then retrieve the full text of any specific messages which appear to be of interest by use of the GETPOST command. You may elect this method of mail delivery by sending this message to LISTSERV@LISTERV.KENT.EDU: If, instead of DIGEST mode or INDEX mode, you would prefer to have the list server relay each message as soon as it is received (resulting in many small messages), send this command to LISTSERV@LISTSERV.KENT.EDU:
SET HOUNDS-L INDEX If you are currently in either NODIGEST or INDEX mode and wish to return to the default DIGEST mode, send the command:
SET HOUNDS-L NODIGEST return to list of commands return to Hounds of the Internet return to Sherlockian Connection
SET HOUNDS-L DIGEST
