WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR US?

There a lot of things that you can do for your library. Since we are a non-profit organization many gifts to us are tax deductible. (Check with your accountant!) Or volunteer and give us the gift of your time. Here are some things you can do:

Donate money toward Books for Branches. When you contribute $25 or more to the Baltimore County Public Library, your gift will purchase a book that will be checked out throughout the entire system! Your name or that of the person you choose to honor will be entered in our library's Book Donor Register.

Volunteer! We love our volunteers and appreciate the time they give to help their public library and the whole community. You may like to volunteer some hours, too. You'll receive unlimited gratitute (some other perks) and be a part of an annual "Volunteer Appreciation Party." A rollicking good time for all. And you thought we were a quiet bunch!

Donate used books! While we are always selling used books in our lobby, every year we have a BIG BOOK SALE. You may wish to donate any gently used cook books, craft books, children's books, paperbacks, videos, cassettes, and current fiction. We will gladly accept them and give you a receipt. Our next BIG BOOK SALE will probably be held in October 1997. Look for details at the library or at this Web site.

Give us cool stuff! Many businesses in the Parkville-Carney area give the library merchandise coupons, flowers, landscaping services, incentives for our Summer Reading Club and much, much more. Some of these businesses include:

Beverly Hochstedt Florist

Valley View Inn

Carvel Ice Cream

Pizza Hut

Giant Food

Wockenfuss

Greetings and Readings

Bowman Restaurant

Mars Supermarket

McDonald's

Sunny's Outdoor Store

Green Vistas Landscaping

and many more! We thank our business sponors for their generous donations!
